Mass Email / App / SMS Campaigns in RunLoyal
Follow these instructions if you’d like to send a mass email, app notification, SMS (if enabled), or an announcement to a group of your customers all at once. This feature is best used for weekly notifications to your customers as a whole.
Enable Push Notifications (first-time setup only)
Important: Push marketing is turned off by default. If you’ve never sent a campaign before, enable it by following these steps. If you’ve already set up your preferences, skip to Filtering Pet Owners.
Go to Settings → Business Setup → Notification Preferences.
Make sure there is a checkmark for App, Email, and/or SMS (SMS requires the add-on feature; it will appear greyed out if not enabled). Click Update to finalize.
You can select one or multiple preferences. Keep in mind that customers will receive multiple notifications if all are selected.
Filtering Pet Owners to Send Messages
Navigate to Push Marketing.
Click on New Campaign.
Click Add Filter and choose the criteria to define your pet owner list.
Select filters such as Pet Type, Vaccination Status, Birthday, Spend Amount, or Sign-Up Date. (You can apply multiple filters or leave blank.)
Click Next to finalize your filter selection.
Selecting Services and Additional Filters
Apply additional filters if needed, such as Service Category, Service, Membership Type, Package Type, Appointment Status, Appointment Date, Count, or Date Range.
Leave blank and click Next if not needed.
Click Next to finalize your options.
Selecting Pet Owners
Select all filtered users to send the campaign to everyone who qualifies.
You can also uncheck individuals to exclude them.
Or, select pet owners individually for a more personalized recipient list.
Click Next to finalize.
Crafting Your Message
Enter a Campaign Name and type your Campaign Message.
Personalize your message with dynamic tags:
{businessName}= your business name{petOwnerName}= customer’s name
Click Verify to confirm your message and targeting.
No edits can be made after verifying.
Sending and Activating Your Campaign
Checkmark the three confirmation boxes to agree to terms and conditions.
Click Create Campaign. This creates a draft campaign you can preview.
Click Activate to prepare sending.
Click Activate again to acknowledge and start the sending process.
Note: SMS acknowledgements apply only if SMS is enabled. Otherwise, messages go via app/email.
Campaigns are added to a messaging queue and sent within 30 minutes.
Your message will now show as Sent.
