How to create / Purchase and apply a gift card
Step 1: Create eGift Card 0:00
- Decide if you want a design for the eGift card.
- If you have a limited quantity (e.g., 5 cards), restrict the purchase count.
- Select the total amount for the eGift card.
- Choose whether the card expires or not; if it does, set an expiration date.
Step 2: Enable App Purchase Option 0:28
- Toggle the button to show the eGift card in the app for purchase.
Step 3: Buy eGift Card 0:36
- Go to quick checkout.
- Type in the dollar sign and the owner's name.
- Under 'Add Product', select 'eGift Card' from the options.
Step 4: Add to Cart 1:00
- Choose whether to send the eGift card to yourself or another pet owner.
- If sending to another pet owner, enter their information.
- Toggle off the receipt option if it's a surprise.
Step 5: Search for Pet Owner 1:21
- Search for the pet owner in the software and add them to the cart.
Step 6: Complete Purchase 1:35
- After adding to the pet owner's profile, decide whether to notify the customer.
Step 7: Check eGift Card Status 2:15
- Once added to the customer account, verify that the eGift card appears under the pet owner's account.
Step 8: Apply eGift Card to Invoice 2:30
- Go to the invoice section.
- Select 'Add Coupon Adjustment'.
- Choose 'Apply eGift Card'.
- Paste the eGift card code and apply it.
- If the gift card does not belong to that customer, you will get a pop-up warning letting you know this information.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure you have two-way SMS enabled to notify customers via text as a paid add-on feature or ensure you have an email entered.
- An email address is required for email notifications; otherwise, notifications will not be sent.
