Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Tracking Feeding and Medication for Pets

Objective

To accurately track and manage feeding and medication for pets during their stay at the facility.

Key Steps

1. Setting Up Feeding and Medication Section

   • Check if the feeding and medication section is visible. If not, go to Settings > Business Setup > Service Configuration, and toggle on the options for feeding and medication.

2. Configuring Feeding and Medication Frequency

   • Go to Settings > Pet Configuration > Feeding.

   • Set the feeding type (e.g., AM, midday, PM, test), frequency (day, week, specific dates), and select unit (cup, scoop, bag, can).

3. Managing Feeding and Medication

   • Add or remove feeding and medication options as needed.

   • Customize feeding and medication schedules for different breeds.

4. Adding Medications

   • If a medication is not listed, click on "Add" to include it in the system.

   • Specify medication details, dosage, and instructions.

5. Adding Notes and Instructions

   • Include any specific notes or instructions related to feeding and medication.

   • Ensure that all mandatory fields are filled.

6. Completing Check-In Process

   • Check in the pet and ensure that all feeding and medication details are accurately recorded.

   • Verify that the run card displays the information correctly.

7. Managing Feeding and Medication Tasks

   • Access the to-do section to view feeding and medication tasks.

   • Print out a list if needed for employees to follow.

   • Mark tasks as completed and record the staff member responsible for delivery.

8. Setting Up Dynamic Notes

   • Create specific questions for the team to answer related to feeding and medication.

   • Access Settings > Operations Tab > Dynamic Notes to set up questions.

9. Editing Feeding and Medication Information

   • Access the pet's profile to view and edit feeding and medication details.

   • Make any necessary changes or updates as required.
