A Comprehensive Guide to Setting Up Capacity & Boarding- Based Pet Services

Service Configuration

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Open Business Setup.

  3. Select Service Configuration.

  4. Click Add under Service Category.

  5. Fill in the category details (example fields: Category name, Description, Visibility, Default duration, Capacity, Staff assignment, Cancellation policy, Tags).

  6. Check Display this service for the first pet / first appointment if applicable.

  7. Add pre-request questions (e.g., vaccination status, breed, age, behavior notes).

  8. Turn on any mandatory requirements so owners must complete them before requesting.

  9. Click Add to save the service category.

  10. In the Services section, click Add to create a service inside the category.

  11. Define the service details (Service name, Code, Description, Duration, Capacity, Assigned staff/global, Location/room, Default price).

  12. Click Add to save the service.

  13. Under Add-On Services, click Add.

  14. Enter add-on details (Name, Description, Price, Additional time, Standalone or linked option).

  15. Click Add to save the add-on.

Setting Business Hours for a Service

  1. Open Business Hours.

  2. Select the service to add hours.

  3. To inherit global hours, check Apply Global Hours.

  4. To customize, edit each day’s start/end times (add multiple shifts if supported).

  5. Click Apply or Save.

  6. Review the service’s hours on the calendar or listing.

Allocating Rooms (Visual Map)

  1. Open Visual Map from Business Setup.

  2. Click Add Area.

  3. Enter the Area Name and Description.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Confirm the new area by clicking OK.

  6. Click Add Unit.

  7. Enter Unit Details (name, description).

  8. Set Unit Specifications (capacity, size/type, equipment).

  9. Toggle options like Internal use only, Overflow capacity, Same family pets only.

  10. Click Add to save the unit.

  11. Confirm units under the area and click OK.

Setting Pricing for Services and Add-Ons

  1. Open Pricing Setup.

  2. Select the Active Price List.

  3. Click the service category to expand services.

  4. Click Edit next to a service.

  5. Select pricing structure (Per appointment, Per night, Per pet-day, Per hour) and enter price.

  6. Enter tax details if needed.

  7. Enable Require Deposit if applicable.

  8. Click Update to save.

  9. For add-ons: click the edit icon and configure pricing the same way.

  10. Click Update to confirm.
